Wellesley achieves MiFID Regulatory Status

Wellesley Investments & Pensions Ltd. has recently been authorised by the Central Bank under the European Communities (Markets in Financial Instruments) Regulations (MiFID), the only firm so authorised in 2016.

While the firm has been regulated by the Central Bank since 2007, the Central Bank’s approval of Wellesley as a MiFID firm reflects a significantly higher level of authorisation and will allow Wellesley to provide its clients with additional products and services. In particular, Wellesley can now advise you on a broader range of investment instruments and services including advice relating to derivative instruments and non-Irish domiciled wealth.

The authorisation of the firm by the Central Bank of Ireland to operate under a MiFID licence marks a significant milestone in the development of our services to our clients and of our business as a whole. As well as reflecting a vote of confidence in our systems, processes and people, approval to be regulated under this higher standard of authorisation reflects an additional level of comfort for our clients and business partners with regard to the professionalism and quality of our services.
